Welcome to Centsi

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Centsi, a personal finance management service. By using Centsi, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

Using Centsi

Centsi provides tools to help you track spending, manage budgets, and gain insights into your financial habits. To use our service, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Provide accurate account information
• Keep your login credentials secure
• Use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes

Bank Account Connection

Centsi uses Plaid to securely connect to your financial institutions. When you connect an account, you authorize Plaid to access your financial data on our behalf. We use read-only access — Centsi cannot move money or make transactions on your accounts. You can disconnect your accounts at any time through your Settings.

Subscriptions & Payments

Centsi offers paid subscription plans. By subscribing, you agree to:

• Pay the subscription fee at the selected billing interval (monthly or annually)
• Automatic renewal until you cancel
• Cancel anytime through your account settings or PayPal

Refunds may be available within 7 days of initial purchase. Contact us for refund requests.

Account Deletion

You can permanently delete your account at any time directly in the app: Settings → Delete account. Deletion erases your profile, transactions, budgets, goals, and AI history, unlinks all connected bank accounts at Plaid, and automatically cancels any active subscription. The action is immediate and cannot be reversed.

SMS Text Messages

If you opt in to SMS alerts, you agree to receive text messages from Centsi about your budget, bills, and spending. Standard message and data rates may apply. You may receive up to 20 messages per month. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for assistance.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Centsi for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Interfere with or disrupt the service
• Reverse engineer or copy our software
• Use automated tools to scrape or access the service

Centsi provides financial insights for informational purposes only. We are not a financial advisor, and our recommendations should not be considered financial advice. Always consult with a qualified financial professional before making important financial decisions. We do not guarantee the accuracy of data provided by your financial institutions.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Centsi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you through the app or by email. Continued use of Centsi after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends, but provisions that should survive (like limitation of liability) will remain in effect.
